Fall Fundraiser

Our fall fundraiser is starting the first week of October. We are trying a new company this year that has more religious items like Christmas cards and napkins. The catalog and order forms were sent home today.

Scrip is a term that means substitute money. When you purchase scrip, you are purchasing negotiable gift certificates and prepaid cards that are used just like cash. You can use scrip to purchase everyday expenses like food, clothing, and other essentials, and with every purchase, you earn revenue for our organization.

How scrip generates revenue for you?

The Great Lakes Scrip Center acts on behalf of churches, schools and other non‑profit organizations to purchase large amounts of scrip from grocery stores, department stores, and other retailers. Because the scrip is purchased with cash up front, the participating retailers offer a substantial discount. Our organization buys the scrip from Great Lakes Scrip Center at a discount, and re-sells the certificates to families like yours for full face value. The discount ‑ from two to fifteen percent or more, is our organization"s revenue.

Scrip is shopping cart fundraising
Scrip is a popular fundraiser because families do not have to sell anything. Organization members produce revenue by making regular household purchases they would make anyway. Groceries, clothing, toys, gifts, even gasoline can be purchased with scrip.

Join
Meijer will mail your Card directly to you within 2 - 3 weeks. You can begin earning rewards for your designated organizations after you receive your Card
Shop at Meijer, use your Card, and earn rewards for qualified purchases.*
Your organization receives their check and an email with the list of members.
Earn more rewards by encouraging your family and friends to join the program.

*Excludes commercial purchases, group buying, gas station, C-stop, and lottery purchases, postage, insurer paid prescriptions, layaway, sales tax, Meijer Thrift Outlet, carwash, and online purchases. Don't forget to save your Campbell soup labels, Spartan UPC labels and Box Tops for Education labels. The all add up to equipment or cash for our school. Spread the word to your family and friends that we can save them. Collection containers are located in the school hallways.

Box Tops For Education

boxtops Clip Box Tops coupons from hundreds of participating General Mills products and drop them off at St. John. Our school gets 10¢ for each one it sends to General Mills - up to $20,000 each school year. Making a difference has never been easier.

The Box Tops program has added a number of new items this year:

1. CLIP - new brands have been added to the list - Pillsbury frozen and refrigerated products, Green Giant and Totino's frozen products, Old El Paso products, Progressive Soups and Gold Medal flour.

2. SHOP: you can register and shop online at the www.boxtops4education.com marketplace and a percentage of your purchase will be credited to the school.

3. CHARGE: you can apply for a Box Tops Visa Card and 1% of each purchase will be credited to the school.
